Facts About Modest Islamic Clothing

Islamic fashion is highly adopted from Quran hadiths. These are teachings that are meant to guide their members on modest livelihood. Otherwise, these regulations differ with the different factions within this religion, and some are thought to be very demanding whereas others are taken to be very lenient. The following are features in modest Islamic clothing.

Male are advised to avoid haram elements. In this context, haram is harmful practices which are against the teachings of Allah. Making references to the Quran, men are not required to wear any silver or silk. This simply means that such items are meant for decoration purpose and are supposed to be worn by females. Any underneath garments is recommended to be worn above the ankles and should not be made out of a see me through the material.

Wearing is not meant to flaunt and imitate others. Muslim brothers must wear simple clothing which does not exhibit their wealth or does not undermine others. Even so, they are expected not to imitate others be it, women or non-Muslim fellows. It is thought that their imitation of non-Islam might simply coerce them into believing and adopting their values.

Every woman is required to hide most of their body part. One cannot expose their body apart from their hands or head, but this can differ depending with factions. This should particularly be observed in the presence of non-Muslims. Traditional attire is regarded to be black to avoid seeing through the material. Lenient members consider any color as long it is not a see me through the material and does not show the appearance of their body.

Their head cover varies with the respective subgroup. Conservative factions prefer the burka which completely covers the whole head and leaving a mesh or grill for the woman to see through. The lenient group makes use of the hijab and dupatta which both are veil which is separate from the hijab. The niqab is another type worn by conservatives which is an extension of the hijab but leaves out the oval part of the head.

Their underneath has no regulations like the men attire. Their baseline expectation is to avoid exposing most of their body parts. However, one is only required to expose themselves to brothers to their husbands or their own or any other close male relative. Others including strange Muslim brothers should not see their exposed body.

Despite the strict regulations in their fashion, many western countries are against this for a couple of reasons. Hiding one face is highly disregarded since one cannot easily identify anyone identity. This is mostly meant for security purpose. Women who have been married to other cultures have to leave out their regulations and blend with their new ideologies.

There has been a remarkable change in the way Muslim believers blend into the modern world. Some factions have adopted casual wears using a diverse fashion for their identity and women have adopted a mixture of loose tops and trousers followed by a hijab to fit into the modern world. Their traditional attire is worn during important ceremonies altogether.
